I hit the jackpot at an East Nashville yard sale recently when I scored this vintage Comet sled along with a toy truck from the '40s, a 1960 Skyway Airlines flight attendant bag, and a 1970s Kodak projector in mint condition. I especially dig the sled, which I may end up using as wall art, but for now it looks perfect propped in the corner of my living room. And I especially love that I picked it up for $30 even though it's worth $100 to $150 on eBay. Isn't that half the fun, to see what a steal you got (or didn't get) once you get home with your find?

Here are some more good places in Nashville for offbeat vintage home goods:
Gas Lamp Antique Mall and Gas Lamp, Too
Wonders on Woodland
Old Made Good (OMG)
Pre to Post Modern
The flea market
(What places am I missing, vintage and antique lovers?)
What's been your favorite "pick" for your own home lately? Please post pics of your picks on my Facebook page, and I'll repost them here.
