Feels like you can’t trip onto the Internet lately without landing on a national publication praising some aspect of Nashville life. One of the latest: “City Living Comes to Downtown Nashville” in The Wall Street Journal, a look at how “the capital of country is growing more urban.”

Compared to even a decade ago, we do have a lot more options as far as living quarters go that give us big city-life amenities: lots to do within walking distance, expansive high-rise views, downtown locales.

Curious about what kind of urban-living offerings are on the market right now in Nashville? I rounded up a six-in-the-city collection of homes that offer city-living amenities and vibes, across many busy hubs, from The Gulch to Germantown.

If you’re really set on having eating, drinking, shopping and doing options steps from your door — i.e. city-like living — The 37206 Building puts you right up in The Fatherland District, with everything from a neighborhood bakery and tea shop to The Pavilion East and the many fun events it hosts. The condo itself is updated, open and affordable, with 2 beds and 2 baths at well under $250,000 asking.

Nashville, TN 37208

$329,900

Hot on the idea of loft living in Germantown? Here’s a 2-bed, 2-bath space in the Summer Street Lofts with high ceilings and a mix of industrial cool and hardwood warmth, steps from the spots like City House and The Cupcake Collection that make Germantown such a lively place to live.

1309 Forrest Ave., #7
Nashville, TN 37206

$429,900

The Blind Girls' Home in East Nashville, built in 1903, has been restored and modernized into the Lockeland Springs Lofts, with modern condos inside, shared green space, a huge wrap-around porch and dog park outside. This one has 3 beds and 3 baths and puts you within a stone’s throw of 5 Points and all the stuff to do there.

600 12th Ave S., Apt .1413

$475,000

Modern/industrial cool at the Icon in the Gulch, just under 1000 square feet, with top-notch amenities (like two pools and 2 gyms), plus right-there access to The Gulch’s busy crop of shops and restaurants.
