Guest Bedroom Decor Ideas

This past spring, after years and years of having the same roommate, my roommate moved out of my basement and in with his lady friend. The time was right for me to rethink things downstairs, so I redid all the floors, installed new stair treads and risers, and added a full bath. In the fall, a friend of a friend will be moving in to my renovated basement for a few months while she gets settled in Nashville. My temporary roommate has forced the issue, and I'm grateful for it; it's time for me to make some decisions about my basement and the empty guest bedroom that's down there. I have a blank and clean slate to work with, which is exciting, but also a little dumbfounding. And because my house guest is a woman, I don't want to create a space that's too manly. Aaaand because my basement can be dark, I want to find ways to add light and color so that it doesn't end up feeling like a cave. I think the color green will help. Green is fresh and spring-like and not really masculine oor feminine. I plan on combing antique stores and flea markets in the coming weeks for some unique and local scores, but in the meantime here's what I'm thinking about, decor-wise:A great lamp:
