If you pay attention to development in Nashville, you’ve probably seen the Nashville Business Journal’s Crane Watch, an interactive map of building projects all around town. It’s intense — almost startling — to see it all together in one place.

The past few weeks, three new proposals have come in for 35- to 40-story-high skyscrapers in downtown Nashville, too. The starting-construction Marriott on Fifth Avenue South got bigger and taller, too, with plans now landing at 21 stories.

When I wrote about the changing Nashville skyline in early 2015, I had no idea the extent to which we were just skimming the surface then. We’re changing, for sure, and the direction seems to be up and up and up.

I know that changes and skyscraper cranes aren’t going to make everyone happy. But there’s a certain part of our population that gets excited, energized and inspired by big-city-style, star-scraper living, perched up in a high-rise, peeking out over our city’s mightily morphing landscape.

If you count yourself among that mix, and you’re on the hunt for a home that suits your up-in-the-sky lifestyle, here are some Nashville homes for sale that just might do it for you.

415 Church Street, #1408

Nashville, TN 37219

$349,000

On Church Street downtown, the Viridian puts you steps from all the stuff people come to Nashville from the world over to see — the Ryman, lower Broadway, etc. That great location probably comes with the 31-story tower being kind of a veteran name in the Nashville high-rise landscape. Which is also kind of hilarious, since it was built in the oh-so-distant past of 2006. The building is heavy on amenities — roof-top pool and terrace, club room with lounge/bar, theatre area, fitness center — and the views… well, look above.

1212 Laurel Street, 1310

Nashville, TN 37203

$389,900

A newer property, Twelve Twelve (pictured up top) cuts a glittering figure through The Gulch, with 23 stories of sparkling glass and 280-plus units inside. The extras are extra extra — click through to check out photos of the pool and lounge space… Pretty stunning, no? And this unit, up on the 13th floor, gives you a pretty stunning perch, too.

900 20th Ave. S., Apt. 1007

Nashville, TN 37212

$460,000

If you want proximity to Music Row — and the height to look down upon it like a titan of industry — the Adelicia might be your place. Just down the way from publishing companies and label houses and the like, the 18-story mixed-use building doesn’t skimp on the amenities either: olympic-sized lap pool, outdoor fireplace, 3,000-square-foot fitness center with onsite personal trainer and more. Maybe the best perk of this particular unit — something that isn’t so common in bigger-city condo/townhome purchases: storage. (It includes a 12x9 unit.)

301 Demonbreun St., Unit 914

Nashville, TN 37201

$559,000

Right on Demonbreun, the Encore is 20 stories high, and so close to the Schermerhorn Symphony Center you might hear the violins tuning from your balcony. Wanna be close to shopping? There’s 20,000 square feet of retail space at street level. Crazy about movie nights? Media room with stadium seating in the building. Love live music? You’re super close to the Ascend Amphitheater too.

1510 Demonbreun, #1104

Nashville, TN 37203

$579,900

Another Demonbreun building, a short hike from both The Gulch and Midtown, the Rhythm luxury condo building is also another established Nashville high-rise. Its towers are well decked out, with a pool and spa, fitness center, resident lounge and more, and this unit — with 2 beds, 2 baths and more than 1300 square feet — offers modern-meets-industrial style and windows on the world of Nashville.

What do you think of these? Rather love/leave the high-rise life in Nashville?
