This month, I’d be overjoyed to sponsor your pup adoptions, but MACC has already taken care of it. Through August 8, their Hot Dogs and Cool Cats Mega-adoption Event includes waived adoption fees.
Events like this happen in part out of need. At the top of the month, MACC was at total capacity, with more than 200 pets waiting for their forever families to come take them home. This first weekend of August, Nashville came out with lots of love — 71 furry friends went home. And that thrills me. Let's keep it going!
If you’ve been thinking about bringing a new friend home, head by 5125 Harding Place this week to meet one of the wonderful animals there, and save that adoption fee (usually $90, which includes deworming, heartworm test, spay/neuter and rabies/license fee) for treats and toys and other stuff to spoil your new family member. (I rounded up some of the best Nashville pet shops if you need suggestions for where to shop.)
Here are just a few of the sweet pups waiting for a new family:

"TJ is a true professional. My wife and I were looking for a home last summer, TJ worked very hard tracking down the sellers agents and even negotiated the price down within our budget. We actually had an offer in place when we decided to pull the offer (we got our heads back) at the last minute. TJ was unfazed (I would have been more than a little peeved if a customer was that close to purchase and then backed out) and took it all in stride. You can tell a lot about someone when things are going their way. You can tell even more about them when things don't work out.
I would highly recommend (and have recommend) TJ to anyone selling a home in the Middle Tennessee area. Zach D."
