New Home Sales In Nashville Growing Faster Than Anywhere Else In America

The housing market here in Middle Tennessee remains remarkable: A new report from housing research firm CoreLogic said that new home sales in Nashville “are growing faster than anywhere else in the U.S.,”Nashville Business Journal tells us. The growth in sales, year-over-year through January of this year, amounted to an incredible 17 percent, the report found. Wow.


There are a lot of reasons for that sales boom, starting with Nashville’s continuing population boom — the Nashville Area Metropolitan Planning Organization expects us to snag almost another million people by 2035, and as that influx rolls on, we’re getting lots of new homeowners in the process.


With numbers like that, I can’t imagine those new home sales figures ramping down in the near future. Which is all to say that, for this week’s Open Houses roundup, I thought it might be a good time to put the focus on new construction homes that are inviting house-hunters in this weekend.
