Sick of seeing Nashville land on national best-this/best-that lists? Sorry to bear the bad news: It doesn’t seem like it’ll be slowing down in the immediate future.

The latest nod — and maybe one of the most complimentary, since we started getting called the “It City”: Real estate site Redfin predicted the “Hottest Neighborhoods of 2016,” and No. 2 on the nationwide list is our own Eastwood, in East Nashville.

That chunk of the East Side is, give or take, Eastland to Douglas south to north, Gallatin to Porter west to east. And it’s a great place to live, for sure, with lots of beautiful historic homes, well-appointed new construction and lots to see and do.

With that big Eastwood high-five, figured this week’s Open Houses roundup should be focused around there.

First, the broader picture of weekend Open Houses:

Then, some Eastwood (and Eastwood-adjacent) homes you can pop in and see over the weekend:

{mls: 1699753}

1412 Sharpe Ave.

Nashville, TN 37206

$629,900

New construction that’s really spacious — more than 2,600 square feet, with 4 beds and 3 baths — and has some really cool finishes (check out the stylish bathroom floor hex tile) and a lot of bonuses you don’t find that often in East Nashville nowadays: a sizable lot, huge detached garage and fantastic covered porch. Open Sunday 2 to 4 p.m.

1607 B Douglas

Nashville, TN 37206

$375,000

Douglas is a really wonderful street, and this attached new construction offers design touches that blend in well with the many historic homes in the area — the open kitchen/dining/living area has great bungalow-style wall columns and coffered ceilings that Craftsman fans will swoon for. Open Saturday, 2 to 4 p.m.

{mls: 1681654}

1715 B Straightway Ave.

Nashville, TN 37206

$327,500

This one’s just barely north of Eastwood, and has all the high-end new construction bells and whistles, plus some standout attributes — particularly the living room built-ins and second-story balcony off the master. Open Sunday, 2 to 4 p.m.

{mls: 1697895}

1312 Greenwood Ave.

Nashville, TN 37206

$325,000

No photos for this one just yet, unfortunately, but the quick points if you’d like to explore in person: a historic home built in 1938, currently a duplex, 4 beds, 2 baths, 1500 feet and a super convenient location, just a wander away from sushi, hot chicken and lots of other fun.

Thinking about moving to East Nashville? Or maybe wanna check out a part of Nashville that’s still on the warming-up end of the spectrum? Let me know — we’re ready to help you find the perfect place, Nashville-wide.
