The event — an outdoor tasting fest held to raise funds for the Westhaven Foundation’s educational and charitable efforts — gives you an opportunity to sip and sample a variety of spirits, and learn from a serious whiskey expert: Johnnie Walker's Master of Whisky, Stephen Wilson.
What you’ll get for your ticket purchase: samples of 15 different whiskeys, a Johnnie Walker tasting glass and — let’s call it a nod toward warmer months on the way — a Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams scoop. And your whiskey options are seriously broad, from local whiskey creations like Whisper Creek Tennessee Sipping Cream to Irish whiskeys like Redbreast and bourbons including Four Roses and Blanton’s and Bulleit.
Local food trucks (including the Grilled Cheeserie and Smoke Et Al) will be serving on site, too, if you’d like to snag a little something to soak up the tastings.
We’re looking forward to the Whiskey Warmer for a bunch of reasons, appreciation of whiskey being just a starter. Our own Jen Bua is a proud Westhaven resident (and a vocal champion of the Franklin neighborhood’s charms), so we’re also particularly glad for a fun opportunity to support that community’s efforts to give back.
