In the past 5 or so years the property and casualty insurance market has changed considerably.
Tennessee especially has experienced many natural disasters including May 2010 flood, tornados,
massive hail storms, earth quake tremors, and a multitude of sink hole problems. Seems it’s not
getting any better for the Volunteer state anytime soon...
All these unusual weather patterns resulted in an enormous amount of claim activity for this state. Loss
ratios are at an all time high causing insurance (property and casualty ) companies to be forced to make
the necessary changes and increase auto and home insurance rates to keep the doors open and remain
profitable. Some carriers have gone to actual cash value for roof replacement and others have decided
to increase the minimum deductible option from 500 to 1,000 + depending on prior claims activity.
If Tennessee weather continues to be a problem I see more drastic changes coming down the pike...

by TJ AndersonBy early afternoon on Friday, I’m feeling pretty good
"I have known TJ since 2007, have purchased two homes with him and sold 3 others. He is, without question, the most knowledgable and responsive agent in Nashville (and beyond). My only regret is that I have recently moved out of state and am not able to use him on my next purchase out here. I would do so in a heartbeat if given the chance. I cannot recommend TJ more highly, either personally or professionally."
