Urban Luxury Home of the Day: A Craftsman-Style Paradise in 12th South

Where do I even begin with this home?

Located at 1110 Halcyon Avenue, it’s brand spanking new, nestled in Nashville's 12th South neighborhood, built in the Craftsman tradition, and jam-packed with features that would make me opt for a staycation over any other destination. I mean, really, why leave home when you lay claim to more than 4,000 square feet of domestic paradise?
The Highlights
This house can do no wrong in my eyes. Details both big and small are on point, but some of my favorite features include a spa-like master bath (which comes with a soaking tub, a ludicrously large shower and a double vanity), a spacious kitchen with a custom island the size of a Buick, and a high-end appliance package. I predict that the kitchen will become the heart of this home. Not only does it have ample storage, with both a walk-in pantry and a Butler’s Pantry with a beverage center, but the kitchen opens to a great room that contains a gorgeous fireplace, bookshelves, and a large bar for serving and seating. Plus, it’s pre-wired for stereo sound.
The Architectural Details
The home’s millwork also helps make this property a knock-out, as the house is equipped throughout with built-in bookshelves and expansive closet systems, even a must-have mudroom. Granite and marble top the cabinetry, and classic wainscoting outfits the wall of what will presumably be the dining room. Hardwood floors and high ceilings complete the package.
The Proportions and Floor Plan
The proportions of this two-story home are generous; it boasts wide hallways, four big bedrooms, three and a half baths done up with custom tilework, and a walk-in master closet. The master bed is on the main floor, along with an office or music room, while the upstairs houses three more bedrooms and two more baths, as well as a laundry room and a storage area.
The back door opens to a beautiful deck and landscaping and a backyard enclosed by an 8-foot privacy fence, ideal for children and/or entertaining.
This house on Halcyon is bright, clean, beautiful and just waiting to become someone's home.
