Welcome to spring, everyone — today’s the Vernal Equinox, which means we’re officially done with winter. Even if it doesn’t feel particularly spring-y today, the weekend’s looking good (to think, Nashville was just a skating rink, and we’re looking at temps in the 70s).

It should be a great weekend for hitting a few Open Houses, and like I do every week, I’d like to offer a little help and direct you toward the folks who are welcoming house hunters this weekend.

For the next few weeks, I’d also like to do something a little different with the homes I choose to spotlight, focusing on some of the most sought-after and well-loved neighborhoods in Nashville, Franklin and nearby. Since spring has sprung and with it comes all things green, I thought Green Hills would be a logical place to start.

New to Nashville? A few things worth knowing about Green Hills: Its popularity is in part fueled by location (it’s close to downtown but easy to get out of town from), in part by leafy beauty and spectacular homes, and in part by proximity to things to do, from shopping (the upscale Mall at Green Hills and Hill Center) to music (the famed Bluebird Cafe).

Thinking about looking around in Green Hills? Here are a few homes with Open Houses Sunday:

{mls: 1616942}

1613B Glen Echo Rd.

Nashville, TN

If you’re drawn toward new construction, here’s one to eye — this 3-bed, 2 full and 2 half bath home has the upscale touches to fit the neighborhood (like gourmet Viking appliances in the kitchen) with design details that match some of the area’s classic homes (10-foot ceilings and beautiful hardwoods). Open Sunday 2 to 4 p.m.

{mls: 1616340}

2713 Wortham Ave.

Nashville, TN

A historic home (it was built in 1940) that’s been updated tastefully, this 3-bed, 2-bath has an open floorplan and some particularly great outdoor entertainment options, including covered and uncovered patio space. Open Sunday 2 to 4 p.m.

{mls: 1614935}

2014 Galbraith Dr.

Nashville, TN

A great family home with lots of space: 4 bedrooms, 4 baths and more than 3,000 square feet, plus a large lot that thoroughly keeps the green in Green Hills. Open Sunday 2 to 4 p.m.

{mls: 1606895}

2207B Hobbs Rd.

Nashville, TN

Drawn toward open and airy? Floorplans don’t get much more open than this 4-bed, 3 1/2-bath new construction, and all the luxury design details are light and bright, from the gourmet kitchen to an immaculate master bath. Open Sunday 2 to 4 p.m.

If you’re hunting for a home in Green Hills, or looking for another neighborhood that’ll fit your taste and lifestyle, we’d love to help. Reach out and tell me about what you’re looking for!
