With Thanksgiving under a week away, lots of us are deep into prep for the big day — shopping, menu planning, shooing away a dust bunny or two before the family arrives.

That day: a kitchen’s Super Bowl.

All that in mind, seemed like this week’s Open Houses roundup should show praise to the kitchen. Or, more specifically, bring out some kitchens that make us fall so in love we’re inspired to get cooking.

First, here’s the big Open House picture in the area:

Then, some fantastic kitchens you can stop by and visit on Sunday:

603 Fatherland St.

Nashville, TN 37206

A perfect picture of a top-to-bottom East Nashville renovation that lets the historic bones of a property shine. And with the open layout, there’s plenty of room for everyone to huddle around the dining table comfortably while the finishing touches are happening. Open Sunday 2 to 4 p.m.

If you’re on the hunt for a home that stands apart, this 1963 West Meade Estates property should hit your sweet spot. The renovations are as stunning as they are unique, and the kitchen — fantastic and huge island, cool statement fixtures, wide open to a living area with bold and beautiful beams and a spectacular fireplace. This one’s enough to make you want to host every holiday gathering. Almost. Open Sunday 2 to 4 p.m.

More on the market for modern? This four-story new construction home in the Vanderbilt / West End area has lots of draws — a rooftop deck with a killer view, close proximity to lots of restaurants and shops and Centennial Park, plus luxury finishes on every floor. The kitchen: open, sleek, clean and cool. Fantastic place to host a Friendsgiving. Open Sunday 2 to 4 p.m.

922 Bradford Ave.

Nashville, TN 37204

I particularly love how this new construction in the 12 South / Belmont area mixes clean contemporary design with more homey touches, like the detail on the kitchen island, the beams in the dining area and shiplap cladding in the living space. The floorplan manages to mix an open feeling with subtle separation, too. Open Sunday 2 to 4 p.m.

3714 A Auburn Lane

Nashville, TN 37215

Warm cocoa-colored cabinets, built-in wine fridge and wine rack with ample room for celebratory Thanksgiving bottles, high-end gas cooktop, huge granite island for prep — this Green Hills home definitely has the food fanatic’s needs down. Open Sunday 2 to 4 p.m.

Did you see your new dream kitchen in this mix? Hunting for something totally different? We’d love to help you get cooking in a space that inspires you — reach out and let us know what you’re looking for!
