Open Houses In The Nashville Area That Offer Waterfront Living
by TJ Anderson
It’s been an OK week, and I’ve been enjoying some pretty decent views during a much-needed breather. See above.
I'd like to share the sentiment, so this week’s Open House roundup is focused on getting you at least a little piece of the peace I’ve been taking in.
I might not be able to find you an oceanfront view in or near Nashville, but around here, we do have plenty of riverfront and lakefront property that’s beautiful in its own right. I found a few cool waterfront properties on the market now in Middle Tennessee, that are welcoming househunters in this weekend.
First, the broader picture:
Then, my waterfront picks:
665 Pembroake Ln
Franklin, TN 37064
Perched right on the Harpeth, this large family home on the market in Franklin (4 beds, 3 1/2 baths and more than 3500 square feet) offers private, placid living, and well-kept traditional style. If you’re not inclined to jump in the river, a nice bonus: The home is within walking distance of the community pool. Open Sunday, 2 to 4 p.m.
Riverfront acreage in Murfreesboro: If you head out to Rutherford County, you can come along finds like this, with nearly 2 1/2 acres right on the Stones River, and tons of room for a big crew (5 beds, 3 1/2 baths and 3700-plus square feet). The home itself, built in 2005, is bright and sunny and immaculately kept, and has a great two-sided fireplace to warm up by after nighttime river walks. Open Sunday, 2 to 4 p.m.
153 South Shore Drive
Big Sandy, TN 38221
Hunting for a home a little way out of town? Big Sandy is about two hours’ drive away from Nashville, and this home there offers full lakeside living, with a private boat dock, slip and boat house, and views that’d make it really, really hard to miss Nashville. Open Saturday, 1 to 3 p.m.
Are you looking for a waterfront dream home in or near Nashville? I’d be thrilled to help you find it. Contact TJ Anderson Homes here, and if you’d like to start your search online, take a look at some waterfront properties on the market in Middle Tennessee here.
