It’s been a particularly rainy spring and early summer, which I know doesn’t thrill everyone. But it’s made the landscaping at my Nashville home happy and healthy, and I’m proud to see the place looking so colorful and alive.

With flowers in bloom on my mind, I’m focusing this week’s Open House roundup on homes on the market in and near Nashville that offer a bright floral and/or leafy welcome.

First, the broader picture:

Then, picks that pop with color and life:

{mls: 1838979}

638 Streamside Lane

Franklin, TN 37064

$484,900

A newer home in Franklin’s Stream Valley, this property gets an A on curb appeal — between the charming architecture, stylish stone and trim and those bright pops of blooming red, it draws you right inside. And over 3200-plus square feet, the interior is similarly on point. Open Sunday, 2 to 4 p.m.

{mls: 1838170}

1107 Shiloh Dr

Nashville, TN 37205

$625,000

You can tell the owners of this West Meade home really put love and time into gardening there — when all the flowers in the front beds bloom, it’s gotta be something special. The swing for two in the backyard is really sweet, too. Inside, it’s totally updated, with granite/stainless/shiny hardwoods and more. Open Sunday, 2 to 4 p.m.

{mls: 1840625}

228 Chapel Ave

Nashville, TN 37206

$729,000

Front to back, the landscaping at this large East Nashville home is top-notch — the backyard is tastefully manicured with shrubs, and the front, as you can see here, is total Better Homes & Gardens material. If you're looking for a more recent build, this is one of the benefits of a newer, but not brand-new home — built in 2013, this one’s had time for the landscaping to fill in and fill out, and it’s so homey, and so inviting. Open Sunday, 2 to 4 p.m.

{mls: 1825646}

5251 Mcgavock Rd

Brentwood, TN 37027

$1,425,000

All around, this is a beautiful Brentwood estate, with almost 6000 square feet of custom luxury, including a killer media room and a wood-cladded office I’d absolutely love to work in. Outside, there’s lots of entertaining/hangout space, but the bright and blooming waterfall area is a favorite. Open Sunday, 2 to 4 p.m.

Are you looking for a new home in the Nashville area with mature, manicured landscaping? A blank slate to flex your green thumb on? Whatever you’re hunting for, I’d love to help you find it. Call or email TJ Anderson Homes here.
