Best Of Nashville 2018 Ballot That I Hope Includes Your Favorite Nashville Realtor ®
by TJ Anderson
I do it for the love, not for the accolades, but nevertheless: If we’ve worked together, I hope you’ll give me a vote in the Best Real Estate Agent category on your 2018 Best of Nashville ballot.
I couldn’t be more proud of the work we’ve done at TJ Anderson Homes over the past year. We’ve helped sell new-construction homes in Woodbine and older properties in established neighborhoods in Franklin. We’ve walked first-time East Nashville homeowners through the buying process, and gotten back together with repeat clients moving to Donelson.
We’ve renovated historic Craftsman homes and picked perfect paint colors for new builds in West Nashville, and celebrated when new families moved in to make happy new memories.
It’s been a spectacular seven months, and if you were one of our clients, I hope you felt as valued and appreciated as you were and are. If there was a Best Real Estate Client category, I’d have quite the bench to pick from. (I mean that even if it's a blatant attempt to butter you up to vote for us.)
Here’s where you go to submit your Best of Nashville vote — Best Real Estate Agent is under the “Home, Goods & Services” category. I’d genuinely love it if you spread the love.
While we’re on the subject of spreading the love, I’m working on my own Best of Nashville ballot, and here’s some of what I love here. (It’s not quite finished yet, but in the interest of striking while the voting iron is not…)
First, the stuff that comes with a professional connection:
BEST BUILDER/DEVELOPER: Infinium Builders. We’ve teamed up on countless builds, and I’ve been blown away every single time with their skills and professionalism.
BEST NEIGHBORHOOD: This one changes in my mind almost year to year, and for someone who bounces between every neighborhood in this town almost every day, it’s a really hard choice. Still, after a few years focused on building and renovating in Woodbine, I’m still in love. So Woodbine.
BEST FINANCIAL INSTITUTION: I get a whole lot of experience with banks and lenders, and I have strong opinions. For grade-A service and attention I tip my hat to Rodney Wilds and Alex Justice at F&M Bank.
BEST PLACE TO BUY FURNITURE: Bliss Home on 8th Ave. S., always a solid stop for new, handcrafted pieces.
BEST ANTIQUE STORE: Preservation Station on 8th Ave. S., always the go-to when you need a period-perfect piece that fits your historic home.
BEST MOVING COMPANY: Move On — prompt, reliable and careful, the three things all movers should be (but often aren’t).
BEST PLACE TO ADOPT A PET: The key to making a house a home. Nashville’s full of incredible organizations encouraging people to adopt and not shop, and I admire an array of them. Still, I tend to throw my support behind MACC, and I have a standing offer to sponsor your dog adoption there. Just tell me about your plans!
Then, a few other nods of Nashville love.
BEST THAI: Thai Phooket in East Nashville, which is a perfect stop before games at Nissan Stadium
BEST COFFEEHOUSE: Ugly Mugs in East Nashville, an unpretentious and friendly place to meet up with clients and grab a great Cortado before heading out for showings.
BEST KOREAN RESTAURANT: Seoul Garden, a mainstay while we’ve been working on homes just north of there in Woodbine.
BEST NEIGHBORHOOD BAR: Call me stuck in Old Nashville, but I give the Red Door Saloon in Midtown my vote.
BEST VEGAN: I’ve been eating vegan for much of the past year, so I’ve done a lot of research. Sunflower Cafe in Berry Hill is a favorite.
BEST TOURIST TOUR: If you love food, even if you’re not a tourist, walking food tour Walk Eat Nashville is more than worth a try — you learn a lot about the neighborhoods, the restaurants and purveyors and get plenty of tastes.
BEST BLOG (LOCAL): The East Nashvillian blog — easily the best way to stay on top with what’s cropping up in the shopping and dining scene on the East Side.
BEST PREDATORS PLAYER: This is like picking a favorite child… but I have to go with Pekka.
BEST MURAL: OFF the Wall on Charlotte, turning bare blocks in West Nashville into an outdoor art gallery.
That’s as far as I’ve gotten so far — agree/disagree with my picks?
Hope TJ Anderson Homes makes its way onto your Best of Nashville ballot — and if we haven’t worked together yet, but you’re thinking about buying or selling a Nashville-area home soon, please reach out. I’d love to talk to you about how we do what we do, and how we can help you.
