A Peter Millar Retail Shop Just Opened At Hill Center Brentwood

Now that the four Major Championships are over, and the FedEx Cup playoffs are upon us, you’ve probably seen a lot of golf in the news. And if you hadn't paid that much attention in recent years, you might've been surprised to see that the sport stopped being… let’s say hopelessly unfashionable.
My favorite sport's significant style upgrade isn't a new thing at all, but I've still found plenty of friends who weren't aware of its retreat from the billowing plaid nightmares of the past.
We actually leave the house looking pretty respectable these days, if I do say so myself. And for that, I have to give at least some credit to North Carolina-bred clothing company Peter Millar, which, coincidentally, just opened a new retail shop at the Hill Center Brentwood.
Peter Millar’s not all play
If you’re a golfer, the brand probably isn’t new to you. But the opening of the Brentwood shop might be, and since I thoroughly love their high-end golf threads, I have to shout it loud for my Nashville neighbors.
For the unfamiliar, here’s why Peter Millar’s Brentwood shop is worth a visit: All their stuff is sophisticated, tailored and comfortable, and not just golf-centric. I get a lot of my golf basics from them, but I’m just as inclined to buy a post-game Peter Millar sport coat or simple suede boots.
A few Peter Millar picks
Want a quick, deeper look? Some of my favorites (i.e. getting an early jump on my Christmas list):
Leather, not suede, but still Elvis-cool in my book.
Planning ahead for fall.
Plaid still has its place.
Big Orange always has its place.
Head to the Peter Millar website to see more.
The Brentwood Peter Millar retail shop soft opened last Friday, August 25 — you can stop by the Hill Center Brentwood (219-235 Franklin Road, Brentwood, TN 37027) 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday, noon to 5 on Sundays.
