Back in June, I talked a little about how the in-the-works Hill Center Brentwood was aiming to be a new “downtown Brentwood.” This week, we get a little bit of a closer look at how those aims are coming to life.

The Nashville Post reported on a crop of tenants that have signed on to be a part of the massive project, which, after the completion of its first phase, will include 158,000 square feet of office space and 66,000 of retail and restaurant space. (By the time it’s all complete, it’ll total 10 buildings and 600,000 square feet.)

Among the restaurants: casual Mexican place Uncle Julio’s; Nama Sushi Bar (which already has a Nashville location in Midtown); and upscale, made-to-order eatery YEAH! BURGER.

Among the shops: infant and children’s boutique Cori & Co baby|child, The Cosmetic Market, Hand and Stone spa and others. Lots more info in the H.G. Hill press release.

In 2017, the shopping and hang-out options in Brentwood will surely be different, and will definitely be broader.

Is the growth making you feel more determined to call Brentwood home? A little look at what you can find on the market there now:

6736 Autumn Oaks Dr.

Brentwood, TN 37027

Around this price point, you’ll generally be talking about a Brentwood address in Davidson County, rather than Williamson. But there are great homes to be found — like this one in Autumn Oaks, just shy of 2,500 square feet, with a beautiful kitchen and deck that leads out to a perfect flagstone patio.

Cool contemporary design that stands out in Stonehenge, with more than 2,600 square feet and an incredible, tree-lined backyard.

Brentwood, TN 37027

This Beech Grove Farms property gives you your own large slice of nature (1.5 acres, treelined and beautiful) while still having plenty of proximity to things to see and do. Inside, you have traditional design and 3,100-plus square feet of well-cared-for space.

9627 Brunswick Dr.

Brentwood, TN 37027

Have a huge family? Here’s more than 5,000 square feet, with 6 beds and 5 baths, a 3-car garage, spacious finished basement, beautiful front porch and back deck and a sun-drenched, wall-of-windows great room.

1905 Oakhampton Pl.

Brentwood, TN 37027

Traditional design and loads of space (4,300-plus square feet, 4 beds, 3 full and 2 half baths) in Oakhampton, with more than an acre of property, including a manicured, park-like backyard. And a hot tub — inside. Now that’s a soaker tub.

{mls: 1683846}

9584 Liberty Church Rd.

Brentwood, TN 37027

Luxury finishes galore in this huge home next to Bonbrook and Governors Club, from classic transom windows and coffered and tray ceilings to high-end kitchen appliances. Make sure you click through to the deck and pergola, too — that’s outdoor living at its finest.

{mls: 1683546}

1016 Falling Leaf Cir.

Brentwood, TN 37027

Newer construction with 4,000-plus square feet and all the custom touches — including an open kitchen that any home chef would love, and a covered porch with a cozy and cool outdoor fireplace.

{mls: 1684793}

5016 High Valley Dr.

Brentwood, TN 37027

A beautiful home with just shy of a full acre in coveted and hilly High Valley, including 5 beds and 5 1/2 baths, with a lower-level bed/bath combo that’d make a perfect in-law or nanny suite.

Brentwood offers a broad mix of options — if it’s on your list, and you could use help tracking down the perfect place, let us know!
