Good news for everyone in Brentwood who appreciates a good biscuit: By this fall, the Hill Center Brentwood should be getting a local outpost of Holler & Dash, Cracker Barrel’s fast-casual, biscuit-forward young chain.

Eater Nashville says that former Mason’s chef Brandon Frohne is leading the menu at the Brentwood Holler & Dash, which bodes well — he’s an exceptional Southern chef and an alum of Food Network competition show Chopped, and he definitely knows his way around a biscuit.

The restaurant is just one of many new businesses slated to move into Hill Center Brentwood during its first phase, including The Cosmetic Market, Hand and Stone luxury spa, Nama Sushi Bar and YEAH! Burger. The first round of move-ins are expected to begin in November.

With that all to look forward to, I’m focusing this week’s Open Houses roundup on homes in Brentwood close to that “downtown Brentwood”-esque development.

Then, my Brentwood picks:

{mls: 1751598}

240 Ashington Ct.

Brentwood, TN 37027

$549,900

Less than three miles from Hill Center, this beautiful cul-de-sac home brings big drama from the first step inside — the huge vaulted ceilings on the main floor make the whole space feel big and bright. The master suite is a stand-out, too, with a fireplace, seating area, and master bath with jacuzzi tub and huge shower. Open Sunday, 2 to 4 p.m.

{mls: 1734237}

5524 Hillview Dr.

Brentwood, TN 37027

$809,750

Even if you have a large family and a ton of needs — home office, craft room, media space — you’d have to try hard to not find the space you're looking for in this Oak Hill Estates property, not quite two miles away from Hill Center. It was built in the ‘70s, but renovated throughout, and beautifully — the two-toned cabinetry in the kitchen and built-ins in the dining room are great examples of the eye-grabbing design choices they made. Open Sunday, 2 to 4 p.m.

{mls: 1721841}

2104 Elderton Ct.

Brentwood, TN 37027

$1,124,000

About a mile and a half away from the Hill Center, you have this stunning Annandale home with traditional style, including 5 beds and 5 1/2 baths over close to 5,000 square feet of space. The high-end kitchen is a particular draw, finding the sweet spot between country charm and magazine cover-grade luxury. Open Sunday, 2 to 4 p.m.

{mls: 1714972}

5256 Mcgavock Rd

Brentwood, TN 37027

$1,499,999

Given the weather lately, here are a few words that should be music to your ears: salt water pool. The whole outdoor living space at this home, about two miles from Hill Center, is pretty and private — cool outdoor kitchen, too. Inside, the nearly 6000 square feet of living space is well-kept and traditionally elegant, with columns, crown moulding and a massive kitchen that’d make it just about impossible to have too many cooks. Open Sunday, 2 to 4 p.m.
