Join Us In Supporting The 2014 Greater Nashville Heart Walk
There’s an event coming up this week that’s particularly close to my heart and that, coincidentally enough, is focused on literal matters of the heart: The 2014 Greater Nashville Heart Walk, set for Saturday, Oct. 4 at Vanderbilt University.
Dane was born in January with a congenital defect called Hypoplastic left heart syndrome, and within a few days, had to undergo complex heart surgery — the Norwood procedure, which included extending his aortic arch and placing a shunt to help ensure proper blood flow — then another surgery in May. As you can see above, Dane’s had his fists up for that fight, and this awesome little guy continues to be an inspiration to me and many others.
