I might’ve mentioned, back when I rounded up 2014’s best Nashville concerts, how much I was looking forward to Justin Timberlake’s stop here. (As expected, the show was amazing.) And lots of people have mentioned over the past few years that JT was planning to buy a home here in Nashville. Those Timberlake-in-Nashville rumors haven’t proved to be true just yet, as far as I know, but this much is true, according to the Nashville Post: The singer/actor/all-around entertainer’s mom and stepfather, Lynn and Paul Harless, did snag the priciest single-family home sold in the area in December of 2014

Their new 10,000-square-foot Brentwood place, the Post says, was snatched up for $2.83 million. They’ll have some decent privacy there too, with over 10 acres of land. Not bad.

That all leads into this week’s roundup of weekend Open Houses. I try to share the weekend’s options every Friday, along with a few focused picks for a little added interest. Let’s start with the whole run of Open Houses:

Then, given the news of this expansive new Middle Tennessee home in Timberlake’s family, I thought I’d round up some of the other large and impressive places on the market now, and hosting Open Houses this weekend.

4311 Sunnybrook Dr.

This Belle Meade cottage has wonderfully classic curb appeal, having been built back in 1934. Its near 5000 square feet are also fully renovated with a clean and sharp aesthetic, bringing in the best of historic and new. (Eye the timeless white in the kitchen and the spa-like bathrooms.) Open Sunday 2 to 4 p.m.!

1280 Old Hickory Blvd.

Brentwood, TN

In Brentwood, historic country living: a log home with more than 5,000 square feet of space and more than 5 acres of land, with a guest house, barn and an option to add more acreage. If you like rustic charm, you’ll definitely like the stone fireplaces and ceiling beam detail. Open Sunday 2 to 4 p.m.!

114A Lasalle Ct.

Nashville, TN

This new construction 4-bed, 4 1/2 bath home in Belle Meade has architectural and design touches you’d be hard-pressed to find elsewhere, from the almost storybook entryway to beautiful distressed woodwork, unique fixtures and a perfect private balcony off the master. Open Sunday 2 to 4 p.m.!

13 Castlewood Ct.

Nashville, TN

If you’re searching for stately, here’s one you shouldn’t skip: a gated English Manor House with soaring ceilings and arched doorways and beautiful brick fireplaces in Nashville. You get a sense of the grandeur immediately, walking up to the chimney flanked by archways. With 5 beds, 4 full and 2 half baths and more than an acre of land, there’s lots of space to enjoy, too. Open Sunday 2 to 4 p.m.!

Let me know if any of these grand homes catch your eye, or if you’d like some help seeking out the perfect smaller (or larger!) Middle Tennessee home.
