It being Valentine’s Day weekend, most of us will probably be busy either celebrating or avoiding the annual spotlight of love. I might be a bit partial, but I think there are few better ways to celebrate your love for each other (or for yourself) than finding a perfect new home to live, love and make Sunday pancakes in.

If you’re on my wavelength there, this weekend might be a perfect time to hit some Open Houses around Middle Tennessee. Curious about what’s on the schedule? Take a look:

Every week when I share this crop of Open House options, I also spotlight homes in certain areas or with certain attributes. This week, it seems logical to pick out some homes that I think have perfect potential for romance, for one reason or another.

209 Augusta National Ct.

Franklin, TN

This Franklin home has lots of draws, from the impressive entryway to a cozy living-area fireplace. But to me, the best instigator of romance: being right on a lake, perfect for strolling at sundown. Open Sunday, 2 to 4 p.m.

709 44th Ave N.

Nashville, TN

I didn’t pick this Historic West Town/The Nations home because it’s Valentine’s red (though suppose that doesn’t hurt). What I really like about this new 3-bed, 2 1/2 bath build is its incredible rooftop terrace. With some comfortable furniture — preferably couches — you’ll be set for curling up with a bottle of wine and enjoying that view. Open Sunday, 2 to 4 p.m.

187 Acadia Ave.

Franklin, TN

Lots of easy-to-love aspects in this home, close to downtown Franklin, too. My personal picks: two levels of romantic covered porches from the outset; awesome cinema space inside perfect for just-you-and-me movie nights; and outside, impeccably landscaped living areas that feel like the setting for a small outdoor wedding. Open Sunday, 2 to 4 p.m.

1819B 5th Ave. N.

Nashville, TN

You really don’t even need to look past the exterior design detail and charming balcony to see the romance in this Germantown/Salemtown home, but the added bonus of a rooftop deck with a pergola certainly doesn’t hurt. Open Sunday, 2 to 4 p.m.

Falling in love with any of these homes? Or are you interested in something totally different? I’d love to help you with your house hunt — just drop me a line.
