The holiday weekends are always a little less packed with Open House options, but quantity has no cross-over with quality — there are some really fantastic properties hosting Open Houses this weekend, giving you a chance to wander off some of that Thanksgiving dinner.

Since we’re right on the back end of one of the bigger entertaining-at-home days of the year, I thought that’d be a good excuse to focus this week’s roundup on homes that have excellent spaces for entertaining, inside and outside.

First, the broader picture of your Open House options in the area:

And here, a few homes I picked out that I think have perfect spaces for parties, dinners and comfortable hangs with folks you love.

Huge and airy in Green Hills, with a charming mantel to hang your stockings on, wide open to a bright kitchen that's already stocked with a high-end gas stove and wall oven that’ll make cooking your Christmas feast a breeze (or at least a more enjoyable adventure). Open Sunday 2 to 4 p.m.

So maybe the weather won’t necessarily be ideal for this in December, but picture entertaining in the spring on this fantastic roof deck in the Vanderbilt-West End area. Your own treehouse, walking distance from lots of restaurants and shops. (There’s plenty of great entertaining space inside too, including a living area open to the kitchen.) Open Sunday 2 to 4 p.m.

Seriously spacious in Nolensville, set up perfectly for indoor/outdoor entertaining from the open kitchen/living/dining area to a cool covered porch. Open Saturday 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Sunday 12:30 to 4:30 p.m.

This one, just over the Williamson County line, is a seriously open house hosting an Open House — all those french doors bring a ton of light inside, and give easy access to that huge wrap-around patio from just about every corner. With that covered patio space, too, who knows? If we get a warm snap in December (or you invest in some outdoor heaters), an al fresco Christmas dinner could be had. Open Sunday, 2 to 4 p.m.

Feeling inspired by any of these spaces? Adding any of them to your Open House list for the weekend?

If you’re hunting for a house that’s set up for effortless entertaining, let us know — we’d be overjoyed to track down the perfect backdrop for making memories with your family and friends.
