Today’s a happy day at TJ Anderson Homes: Our newest new construction project in Woodbine, 2510 Foster Avenue, is on the market, and ready to welcome in its first owners.

This one’s been a real labor of love, and I’ve been pouring bold design inspiration into it since the ground broke.

We put some really special details into this 3-bed, 2 1/2-bath, 2105-square-foot home. A few of the choices I’m most proud of:

The bright schoolhouse red we chose for the exterior, which you can see up top — it’s not your everyday color choice, which is part of why I love it, but it’s still timeless and classic and a total eye-grabber.

  • The shiplap feature wall in the living area — I'm huge on shiplap as a way of bringing texture and timeless appeal to a space.

  • The custom millwork as you first walk through the front door — this is no run-of-the-mill (pun unintended) wainscoting, but a unique design that I think totally makes the space.

  • The feature wall in the master bedroom... and, well, the whole master suite — it has tons of space, and tons of style.

  • The lantern-style bath mirrors that mimic the classic tilework. It's the little details that make a design feel like passion, love and inspiration went into it. More than true of this home.

There’s so much more to gush about in this Nashville home, from the 10-foot ceilings and laundry/mud-room built-ins to a completely gorgeous and classic master bath… (I have to commend Anthea Click of Fresh Perspective for the staging, too — it really feels like a home now.)

I also have to praise the location, on one of my favorite streets in Woodbine. It’s just down the street from some awesome places, like Red Bicycle Coffee and The Peach Cobbler Factory, and a really quick jump to the Interstate and downtown.

I talked with The Tennessean about Woodbine last spring, and since, my love for the area has only grown — we’ve built quite a few homes here at this point, and watching the neighborhood grow into one of Nashville’s boom areas has been totally unsurprising, and really rewarding.

We’re introducing our beautiful red schoolhouse to Nashville this weekend with an Open House, from noon to 4 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 26. Please come by and see us Sunday, and explore our latest point of pride. I can't wait to show it off.

If you’d like to see 2510 Foster Avenue before Sunday, give me a call or send an email and let me know. I have a good feeling this one won’t last long, and I’m looking forward to meeting new owners who’ll love it as much as I do.
